Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha around 7:00 AM. After meeting your professional guide, you’ll drive for about 2-3 hours to Tarangire National Park, known for its large herds of elephants and iconic baobab trees. On arrival, you’ll begin your game drive through the park’s diverse landscapes, including wetlands, savannas, and riverbanks. Tarangire is home to a wide range of wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest. Your guide will take you on a scenic game drive, allowing you to witness animal behaviour in a natural setting. You’ll stop for a picnic lunch in the park, surrounded by nature. After a day of adventure, you’ll head to your lodge in the evening for a relaxing dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, you’ll embark on your final safari in Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most unique and biodiverse places on earth. It takes approximately 3–4 hours to drive from Tarangire to the Ngorongoro Crater, with a scenic stop to view the crater from the rim. The crater itself is a collapsed volcano, creating a bowl-shaped environment teeming with wildlife. You’ll descend into the crater for your half-day game drive, where you can spot the Big Five: lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and black rhinos. The crater floor is home to large populations of wildlife, including herds of zebras, wildebeest, and various bird species. You’ll have a picnic lunch within the crater and continue exploring the area until mid-afternoon. After your game drive, you’ll begin the journey back to Arusha (approximately 3 hours), arriving in the late afternoon, where your safari concludes.
