Discover one of Tanzania’s best-kept safari secrets with Wild Diary Safaris on an unforgettable day trip to Mkomazi National Park. Located in northeastern Tanzania along the border with Kenya’s Tsavo National Park, Mkomazi offers spectacular landscapes, diverse wildlife, and remarkable conservation success stories.
Covering over 3,200 square kilometers, Mkomazi National Park is a pristine wilderness of rolling savannahs, acacia woodlands, rocky hills, and breathtaking views of the Pare and Usambara Mountains. The park is internationally recognized for its conservation efforts, particularly the protection of endangered African wild dogs and the critically endangered black rhinoceros.
Unlike some of Tanzania’s busier parks, Mkomazi offers a peaceful and uncrowded safari experience, allowing visitors to enjoy wildlife viewing in a tranquil and natural setting. Whether you are a wildlife enthusiast, photographer, birdwatcher, or nature lover, Mkomazi provides an authentic safari adventure away from the crowds.
This day safari is an excellent addition to your Tanzania itinerary, especially before or after climbing Mount Kilimanjaro or Mount Meru.
